How We Started

Our Journey Battling Insomnia and Sleep Deprivation

Phase 1

The “Normal Pregnancy Exhaustion”

We thought sleepless nights were just part of pregnancy.

At first, it was small things — constantly flipping sides, sore hips, lower back pain, waking up every hour trying to get comfortable. Everyone told us, “That’s normal.”

But week after week, the exhaustion started piling up. Sleep wasn’t restful anymore. It felt impossible to fully relax, and every morning started with less energy than the day before.

That was the beginning of Cumulo.

Phase 2

When Sleep Became Survival

As the pregnancy progressed, the insomnia got worse.

Some nights were only 2–3 hours of broken sleep. The tossing, pressure on the belly, aching joints, and constant discomfort started affecting everything — mood, stress, focus, even confidence.

We tried stacking pillows, expensive bedding, and every “hack” online. Nothing truly worked.

What we needed wasn’t another pillow.

We needed support that actually understood a pregnant body.

Phase 3

Designing Comfort We Couldn’t Find

We became obsessed with creating something better.

Not oversized. Not stiff. Not complicated.

We wanted a pillow that felt calming the second you laid down — one that supported the belly, eased pressure on the hips and back, and helped create deeper, uninterrupted sleep.

After countless prototypes, adjustments, and late nights, Cumulo was born: a pregnancy pillow designed to bring comfort back into one of the hardest stages of motherhood.

Phase 4

Why Cumulo Exists Today

Cumulo was never just about pillows.

It was about helping moms feel rested, supported, and cared for during a time when sleep can feel impossible.

Because we remember how lonely those sleepless nights felt.

And if we could create something that helps even one mother wake up feeling more comfortable, more energized, and more like herself again — then every step of this journey was worth it.
